Here is what Mike and Jenney have to say about their “new” 1955 Packard 400. the previous owner had it stored for the last 7 years in Texas.
When I first laid eyes on a new 55 Packard I dreamed of owning one some day, now at 78, my dream came true.
A friend gave me a copy of Hemmings and there it was on page 432, I called and we started negotiations.
Since receiving the car my first priority was to get it to a shop for a complete check. Compression was good on all cylinders, new voltage regulator, rebuild starter, generator, and carburetor, wheel bearings, oil sender, 3 power window motors. next was the torsion bar suspension, now all works well. After interior restoration, we drive our Packard often and it is great to get complements and a lot of thumbs up.
When we park at a restaurant or store people want to take pictures with the car.
